Description

NYCGA.net is the working site for the New York General Assembly, which intended to serve as a place for working group members to collaborate and engage in operational and movement building activities. The idea behind this site, and it's place in our overall web strategy is discussed on the OWS Digital Media Strategy wiki page.

The nycga.net v2.0 site was soft-launched on 10/13/11 and officially live at the public-facing URL on 10/19/11. It replaced the much more basic and limited nycga.net v1.0 which is no longer online. While old.nycga.net seems to be the "old" v1.0 site according to it's name, it only contains links and information related to Global Revolution. During the development process, it was hosted at loudfeed.org. At launch, it moved to Rackspace servers. It is built in Wordpress and Buddypress.
