Name
What does the occupation and/or general assembly call itself? This is most likely the name in the header of the website.
RSS Feed
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format that most popular blogging platforms (Wordpress, Tumblr, Drupal, Joomla, etc) use to automatically publish raw content to the web. To find an RSS feed, try the following:
- Look for an orange box with a wifi icon. Sometimes it also says "RSS". Click on this icon, copy the URL and paste it to the spreadsheet.
- Using Firefox, go to the Bookmarks Menu and click "Subscribe to this page". If you're given a number of options, pick the one labelled 'feed', 'home', 'main', etc. Do not pick 'comments.' Copy the new URL and paste it to the spreadsheet.
- Wordpress websites place their RSS feed at www.sitename.com/feed by default so if you recognize that a site is wordpress that's as quick way to get the feed.
Location
Please format addresses and/or coordinates that are mappable. If you've wondering whether the address is formatted correctly, put it into Google and see if it results in a map. If Google recommends different formatting, please use that recommendation.
Public Contact
The general, public email address of the occupation.
InterOcc Contact
Contact email address for the working group responsible for inter-occupation communication.
Authentication
Identify yourself as the individual who is vouching for the quality of the feed. If you're unsure of the feed's activity, useful or authenticity, do not authenticate it.
